Christopher Jimenez-Nunez, of Framingham, is charged with armed robbery (firearm), armed robbery (knife), and two counts of assault and battery, the Suffolk County District Attorney said.

A woman and man told police, through an American Sign Language interpreter, that they were walking on West Broadway on Nov. 15 when two men walked out of Burger King and pulled a gun and a knife on them.

One suspect, later identified as Jimenez-Nunez, pointed a knife at the woman’s stomach and pulled her hair while taking two iPads from her backpack, the district attorney’s office said.

The second suspect, later identified as Chance Morgan, pointed a gun at the man, and put him in a chokehold, before grabbing his fanny pack that had his cell phone, an Apple watch, and $200 inside, authorities said.

Jimenez-Nunez and Morgan ran off after hitting the man on his forehead, causing a fear-induced stroke, the prosecutor said.

The woman and man were taken to a local hospital, where they were treated for injuries.

They were able to identify Jimenez-Nunez, but Morgan remains at large.

District Attorney Kevin Hayden said in a statement:

“The fear and harm these assailants inflicted upon these victims is reprehensible. We will hold them accountable. Mr. Jimenez-Nunez represents an immediate threat to the public and we made our request for bail revocation in full recognition of the danger he poses. Our office will work with the victims to ensure they are supported and have the necessary resources to navigate the court process.”

Jimenez-Nunez was previously arraigned in South Boston BMC in October for a separate case.

He is set to return to court on Jan. 9, 2024.
